Limited Warranty The clutches products are made by Hangzhou Westlake Clutch Group Co., Ltd, hereinafter called Westlake Clutch, warrants that all new Westlake Clutch's products, except as otherwise provided herein, will be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal use and service. The obligation of Westlake Clutch under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective products, which, within ninety (90) days or within three thousand (3,000) miles after sale thereof to the retail customer or the installation thereof, whichever first occurs. Westlake Clutch's inspection shall disclose to its satisfaction to be defective. Buyer must not return the defects without the written consent of seller and a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Number, No returns will be accepted without an RGA Number. Westlake Clutch shall not be liable for any special, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including claims for delay, loss of profits, or for labor. No express warranties and no implied warranties either merchantability or fitness for any particular use or purpose or otherwise, other than that expressly set forth above which are made expressly in lieu of all other warranties, shall apply to clutch products sold by Westlake Clutch. Final determination of the suitability of the products for the use contemplated by the buyer is the sole responsibility of the buyer, and Westlake Clutch shall have no responsibility in connection with such suitability. This limited warranty does not apply to products that have been improperly installed, maintained, or repaired, nor to products that have been altered, misused, or damaged by accident or negligence. WESTLAKE CLUTCH WARRANTY will not be valid under the following conditions:

1. Normal wear is not covered by warranty.

2. Clutches not bedded in properly based on the friction material type are not covered. Organic facings are 500-1000 miles. Ceramic/feramic facings are 1000-1500 miles. Some slipping may occur with non-woven materials until they bed in. They are longer lasting materials that likewise take longer to bed in. Friction materials are excluded from warranty. No warranty is offered for durability or specific performance because this is a consumable item.

3. Clutches contaminated by oil and grease are not eligible for warranty replacement or labor.

4. Clutches subject to thermal overload are not covered under warranty. This is when components become blue from heat, show heat checks on the wear surface, or have disintegrated from high heat for an extended time.

5. Clutches subject to overloaded conditions or shock loading resulting in broken friction material.

6. Flywheel was not replaced or resurfaced to specification.

7. Products which have been altered, improperly installed, or damaged by accident, negligence or misuse.

8. Westlake Clutch products which are reboxed in non-Westlake Clutch boxes.

9. The part is intended for normal use only, and does not include use by commercial vehicles or vehicles used for high performance/racing (except as noted above) or snowplowing.

10. THIS WARRANTY WILL NOT APPLY IF ANY PART HAS BEEN MODIFIED, DAMAGED OR IS DEFECTIVE AS A RESULT OF ANY ACCIDENT, MISUSE, USE INCOMPETITIVE APPLICATIONS, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, NEGLIGENCE, REPAIRE OR ALTERATION.

 

Each master cylinder, slave cylinder, flywheel, cable and fork (referred to as "Component") is warranted for ninety (90) days from the date of installation.

All Clutch Products and Components used in applications where an engine or transmission swap is done are not covered by this warranty.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF TITLE, OR OTHER WARRANTY OF QUALITY, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. ALL EXPRESSED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY ARE EXCLUSIVE.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY EXCLUDES ALL LABOR, TOWING, and/or RENTAL CAR CHARGES OR OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Whenever returning parts for warranty consideration, it is required that the entire clutch assembly, pressure plate, disc, and release bearing be returned through an authorized Westlake Clutch distributor. There shall be no obligation under this limited warranty unless the Kit or Upgrade Kit is returned with all original components (including pressure plate assembly, disc assembly, release bearing, and pilot bearing/bushing). Shipping charges on the returned parts must be paid by customer of Westlake Clutch.

Westlake Clutch reserves the right to examine all parts returned to it for warranty claims to determine whether or not any such part has failed because of a defect in material or workmanship. Westlake Clutch under this warranty shall be limited to repairing, replacing or crediting, at its option, any part found to be so defective.

Regardless of whether any part is repaired, replaced or credited under this limited warranty, transportation charges for the return of such part must be prepaid by the customer.
